English Immersion Day
Interactive English Language Workshop for years 7 and 8.
The English Immersion Day is aimed at years 7 and 8. It motivates, entertains and encourages students to use English for an entire school day. By employing a mixture of theatre based techniques and ELT exercises, the pupils practise their language skills and have fun. It is based on a teachers workshop that I used to give in Denmark called, 'The Big Difference'.
The English Immersion Day is available in Denmark - 2007/08
A day of interactive activities that will build confidence, challenge exisiting knowledge and provide enjoyment. It is designed to be varied and fast paced, ensuring that attention spans do not wander.
This cross-cultural media workshop is a collection of interactive activities that will ensure that students have a fun and stimulating day communicating in English.
The workshop is designed to increase cultural awareness through the use of video, song and printed material. Activities enable students to appreciate cultural differences between English speaking countries and also their own culture. We look at national icons, music, TV, traditions, personalities and social customs.
The workshop uses authentic materials from the British media to show how various cultural themes are presented. With each activity we invite cross-cultural comparison with the students own culture.
All activities are designed to inspire not only cultural awareness, but also confidence in oral composition, comprehension and reading.

The above cost is inclusive of travel to the local area, however we may ask for accommodation with teachers or pupils.
